Whale has been breaking parts since the ’60s and writing about it since the ’80s, beginning at Four Wheeler Magazine and since published in more than 25 outlets on cars, trucks, aircraft, boats, commercial and recreational vehicles. An IAMA technical writing award winner, he holds a degree in communications, did a brief stint in automotive PR, serves as an off-highway driving instructor and is the Editor-at-Large at Truck Trend. Whale lives outside Los Angeles with speed-freak family and would rather be cooking, rallying or sailing than using any keyboard.
